Epilepsy is a neurological disease that affects about 1-2% of the human population. Epileptic seizures happen spontaneously without warning, caused by abnormal brain activity. Epileptic patients suffer from frequent injuries and death due to the unpredictability and violent nature of the seizures.
In this project, we recreated an algorithm of seizure prediction. The algorithm we recreated is presented in a certain paper. The main difference between the two algorithms is that the paper’s algorithm uses data gathered by implanted EEG sensors, while our algorithm uses data collected by external EEG sensors.
