Low Voltage System of a Formula-Style Racing Vehicle

This project encompasses the development and implementation of the Low Voltage System (LVS) for an electric, Formula-style race car. The LVS includes six printed circuit boards (PCBs), the shutdown circuit, and their integration with the vehicle’s tractive system (TS). Each component was designed to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the car’s electrical system. All designs were carried out in compliance with the Formula Student Germany (FSG) competition regulations, which set strict standards for safety and performance. The project included design documents, simulations, and testing of fabricated PCBs, as well as the creation of set of schematic design and layout guidelines for future iterations of the project along with an implemented board as a worked example.
