As a result of researches of wide range fires occurred in the past, interests of detecting fires as soon as possible became widely common, playing a major role of controlling fires and prevent them of spreading widely, causing large damage to forests which so important to keep to our planet.
The target of the project is to develop a LOW ENERGY CONSUMPTION and LOW-COST solution to detect fires in scalable area spaces.
We chose to implement the idea by using sub 1GHz transceiver according to its low energy consumption, flexibility of using different network topologies of connecting nodes together.
The project Uses mainly 2 types of Nodes, Rx which is ready for collecting data from Txs connected wirelessly to Rx.
Rx connected to fixed and reachable computer station, while the Txs is free to set and use batteries to operate.
Tx send Data in two cases :
1) From time to time informing the Rx that it still Alive
2) Fire Detected
We used Flame sensor to detect fires, after we do check the other featured solutions, it was the most propriate solution.
The data we send in the network when detecting a fire, is GPS NMEA, which connected to Tx Node , to inform the Rx by fire’s location.
