This project is a two-part project where we designed and a build a prevention system for forgetting children in a vehicle. The system is based on a few sensors and a Raspberry Pi as the controller/brain. The system has an IR sensor that detects whether it can see a child in its frame or not, and based on a machine learning algorithm (Convolutional Nueral Network) makes its decision. Once the igniotion turns off, the system starts it’s final decision making, and if needed, alert that a child was forgotten by buzzing with an internal buzzer and sends an SMS to a predefined set of cellphone numbers.
