The Internet of Things (IoT) is upon us. Sensors and embedded devices in automobiles, phones, watches, supermarkets, homes, roads and bridges, appliances, industrial and farm equipment, and even wearable technology are already making new kinds of information available and changing the way information is produced, consumed, and experienced. IoT obviously represents a great opportunity for advances in information analysis. The connections between IoT and data storage and processing as well as machine learning are obvious and gaining attention already.
IoT is also a meaningful mean for home automation. Smart switches, lights and air conditioners are already in the market.
In this project, we will focus on automating iRobot by voice commands.
The project consists of three main components: ESP8266 micro-controller, iRobot Create and Google Home. It should be noted that same automation can be made with other personal assistant available in the market, such as Alexa, Siri etc.
