This project presents an indoor navigation application developed for the TEMI autonomous robot to assist users in navigating complex indoor environments. The system combines an interactive graphical interface with voice commands, enabling users to search for destinations, create routes, and receive autonomous guidance. Built on the TEMI Android SDK, the application leverages the robot’s built-in mapping, localization, and obstacle avoidance capabilities without requiring additional infrastructure. The software follows the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture and object-oriented design principles to ensure modularity and maintainability. Implemented in the Fischbach Building at the Technion, the solution demonstrates reliable indoor navigation, intuitive user interaction, and improved accessibility for visitors, students, and staff. The project illustrates how service robotics and modern software engineering can be integrated to provide an efficient and scalable indoor navigation solution.
