Vayyar, an Israeli startup company released an RF waves based sensor that can connect to Windows and Linux operating systems. The sensor can connect to either a computer, a phone or a Raspberry PI. This sensor can scan an environment that is close to it and map it. In addition it can recognize objects around it’s environment and their movements.
Since the sensor uses RF waves, it can see through objects and even recognize objects that are hidden from the human eye, for example: within a wall. This ability is breathtaking and contains a huge potential. The company itself marked some cases that the sensor might be useful.
For instance:
- Breath recognition in order to make sure no baby is forgotten within a vehicle.
- Human scanning without invading to their privacy – since the sensor only scan with RF waves and does not actually film or take pictures.
- Ability to scan through walls to find pipes and wires hidden behind them.
And others.
In this project we will investigate the sensor abilities so we can understand them better. Finally we will test weather this product is able to scan a fruit tree to prove it’s abilities.
